Donation Made – What do YOU think of this charity?

Post Date: September 22nd, 2011

Dear Good Folks,

I believe this is a wonderful charity, if you'd like to help spread some positive energy around in the world.

From their website: www.helpKyria.com

"At 12 years old – in 1999 – Kyria Henry started a non profit called paws4people™ to use her dogs to help others have better lives.  (What were you doing at 12 years old?)  ;)

Today – in 2011 -  paws4people™ has over 175 dogs who are certified and working or in their training program throughout nine Mid- Eastern states. Paws4people™ specializes in placing dogs with children and adolescents, active duty soldiers and veterans with physiological, psychological, physical, emotional and other challenges. The difference a dog makes in these people's life is profound.

Dogs are trained in federal prisons by female inmates in another program started and run by Kyria – paws4prisons™. In this way, our programs are allowing these ladies an opportunity to give back to society while caring for a dog 24/7/365. Again, the affect is profound.

More than 150 people volunteer with the program.  We use dogs to teach kids to read, help kids to walk, visitations at senior homes and so much more.

Our 2011/2012 goal is to place 14 more dogs with clients. Each dog can take two years and countless hours of training and followup and costs up to $35,000 each.

We give these dogs to our clients.

We invite you to learn more about Kyria and her dreams – there are some amazing stories and some amazing opportunities for you to change your life!

And – we ask you to visit http://helpkyria.com and learn more about us. If you like what we are doing, please donate what you can, or join a raffle where you might win $50,000 while helping us to place our dogs!

Kyria’s dreams are still huge and with your help will affect an amazing number of lives – including yours.
